When I look outside I see quite some clouds passing by. Not what you want during summer, especially when rain starts. However there are also fun clouds. They are colored in Azure. Microsoft Belgium provides a new summer course for us: Dive into the Windows Azure platform this summer.

Either you’re melting away like an ice cream put in the oven or you’re being washed away by rains but there’s one certainty since last summer: There are several dive in courses from Microsoft to keep you nice and comfortable in front of your pc trying out new stuff and enjoying updates on technologies.

Well organized and in a great location last Thursday the fifth edition of Community day was held. I gave a presentation myself about giving applications a second life in the cloud. It was a lot of fun to do so and I already got some great feedback from people in the audience. For the people who couldn’t make it, here are my slides:

Last week a Scott Hanselman came to Belgium for the first Webcamps. I could only attend the first 2 hours due to client obligations but I was glad to see quite some familiar faces and Scott performing in his usual way during the first part of the whole show. Luckily for everyone who couldn’t attend, or only partially like myself, the entire day got recorded. You can watch the shows here

I subscribed today to attend Remix10 on September 28th. Last editions were always very interesting and when I take a look at the overview of what’s already known about the agenda, still some dev sessions need to be confirmed, it’s going to be great again this year as well.

In Belgium you can never be sure of the weather. It might be great, it might be too hot, it might be too rainy, …

Last year it was only a half day but apparently this year it’s going to be a full blown day of content by several of Belgian user groups. Keep June 25th reserved for this day.

Just found out about this site: (http://www.hownerdyareyou.be/). It's a site to popularize jobs in IT in Belgium amongst youngsters so it's only available in Dutch and French.
